About Me

Jeanne
I first became interested in gardening when I was 10 years old. Part of our rear garden was designated as a vegetable patch and I earned my pocket money by helping dad to dig it over and plant our vegetables. Dad gave me a small area to grow my own veg and I planted herbs and strawberries. These are still favourites for me to grow in my own garden today. I love gardening. It's such fun to create different looks and experiment with different plants. My garden is not a manicured show garden but I love it and everything in it. There is a good variety of plants which I'm always looking to expand. I cannot visit a garden centre without buying something. The problem is I don't always think about where I can fit it in until after I've bought it. The garden is always evolving and changing and will never be finished - that's the beauty of gardening. My favourite time is when I've mowed the lawn and finished weeding and tidying and I can sit down with a nice glass of wine or a long cold beer and just relax and enjoy the fruits of my labour.
